he was nodding off in front of the computer just a few minutes ago.. lazily flitting between conciousness and sleep.. nod.. nod.. nod then came the whispers.. he initially thought it was Pandora and Diablos playing behind the speakers but this was different.. totally different..

it didn't sound like the rustling of papers.. it was finer than that.. it was a collective whisper.. had a cool, distant, almost ethereal fluidity to it.. being partially awake, he was roused (and pleasantly too) by this otherworldy bits of sound. the physical parts of these bits of sound became evident the moment it tousled his hair (short as it may be) and caused improperly shut doors around the neighbourhood to bang shut. somewhere, a pot (or 3) fell.

he looked out the window and saw the trees in a trance. they gently sway and rustle their greens. the temperature dropped and his pulse quickened. it can only mean one thing when the temperature drops. he stood, pressed his face out in between the grills and waited. and smelled the wind. ahh... he loves that smell. a cool, musty smell not present in all winds (nothing to do with flatulence here).

after 10 mins of standing by the window and watching small puddles form on the ground in the carpark downstairs. he turned off the monitor. wiped his rain-kissed face and hands and went to bed. he cuddled up to his pillows and shut his eyes. his pulse slowed and his breathing became regular.

then he stopped smiling.

it's about time i sat down and wrote something in here... well nothing much has changed from my last post to this one.. 'cept maybe that i'm finally finishing my stint in the ops department, i've gotten 2 kittens, lost weight, lost some stuff too, befriended some really old uncles, discovered a bevy of beauties living in the n'hood and did i mention i lost weight? yeah i did didn't i? lolx..

at home, things seem to look okay but actually they're not. i have one less person to talk to at home now and 2 lovely kittens to look after! let me talk about them instead!!

they're given to me by An. his cats had some fun and soon a litter of 5 was born. 2 died soon after 'cos the mom was too shocked to lick off the slime thingy covering them. so they died of asphyxiation i guess. the remaining 3 survived; a black tabby, a black tom and a white-grey tabby. to cut the long story short, An agreed to let me have the white-grey tabby only if i take the black tom as well. i agreed and they were "shipped" to my place.

i named the tabby Pandora (or Pandy for short). inspired by the tale of Pandora's Box, i think it's rather befitting as she has a knack of doing things she's not supposed to. she has a slightly wider head than the other cat (we'll get to him later) and she's more affectionate. she looks almost exactly like her mom 'cept that according to An, she looks better. i agree. ;P

i had no idea what to name the tom at first! i didn't want to name him blacky or midnight or anything cheesy. finally after a half-hour of thinking all things black i settled on Diablos. named after one of the Guardian Forces in Final Fantasy VIII (yeah yeah i'm a nerd so sue me), it suited him perfectly as Diablos in the game had an attack that was all evil and dripping with umm.. blackness.. =P so Diablos it was (Dibs for short).

this duo has lightened up my life in many ways. from their crazy antics to their mood swings and the way they look when they're asleep, they're a much needed joy in my otherwise mundane existence. for those on Friendster, take a look at my profile for pics of Pandora! Diablos unfortunately is not pictured 'cos i take the pics using my measly phonecam so all u can see is a furry black shape. lolx... yeah, Pandy is the 'celebrity cat' here.. which reminds me that i have to take them both to the vet for vaccination this coming payday.

hmm.. payday.. plenty of things to settle on payday.. we'll see if i survive this month.. til then,
